The president of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce is highlighting a provision in a bill passed during the recent legislative session as a key tool to help Hoosier businesses. Kevin Brinegar says the proposal deals with how local governments utilize tax abatement for economic development. He believes the plan will help many Hoosier businesses remain competitive.

Brinegar also says the plan to reduce the state's corporate income tax by two percent should also give business owners more money to re-invest in their companies, or help keep talent by increasing salaries.

He says that reduction should benefit more than 20,000 C corporations throughout the state.

We will have an in-dept examination of the impact of the tax cut during this weekend's Inside INdiana Business Television.
