Roquette America, Inc., in Keokuk, Iowa,
and headquartered in France, is a manufacturer of value-added ingredients from
corn serving the food, beverage, confectionery, pharmaceutical, personal care,
animal food, and industrial markets. The company will build a $27 million feed
house, which consists of Best Available Control Technology (BACT) drying
technology upgrade of Roquette America’s corn gluten feed operation at its
Keokuk plant site. The project will support 48 jobs, improve the energy
efficiency of the plant and significantly reduce emissions of regulated air
pollutants. Today, the IDED board awarded Roquette tax benefits through the High
Quality Jobs Program (HQJP) to support this project with an estimated capital
investment of $41,500,000.
