Kentucky's Electronics Industry

 Electronic component manufacturer are relying on the Bluegrass State’s low utilities costs and its central location for short & quick delivery to their customers.

 Being a Fortune 500 company, Lexmark’s laser and inkjet printers are bringing day-by-day Kentuckian head-quarters city name Lexington to the world of computer users.

Kentucky-made electrical products include switch gears, light bulbs, relays and controls, home appliances, electric motors or automotive wiring and computer printers. Major audio equipment supplier Clarion Corp. of America added to its Northern Kentucky manufacturing operation also a support and distribution center. Close to a FTZ zone, this operation allows to exhibit, store, assemble and ship the goods easily.

 European Electronics companies include also Actaris nv (Belgium), Alstom SA (France), Halma Plc and Invensys Plc (UK), the Germans Balluff GmbH, Siemens Osram or Wampfler AG; the Dutch giant Philips nv and from overseas YH America (Japan). 42 facilities employing over 250 people.
