Pennsylvania enacted a $2 billion strategy to boost BioTech by investing Tobacco Settlement Funds to create the most aggressive package in the nation for the BioTech Industry. The strategy consists of: 1) accelerating the future of biomedical research and technology transfer by investing in our world-class universities and research institutions; 2) creating the Life-Science Venture Fund for fueling next generation businesses; and 3) Investing funds to create three Life-Science Greenhouses throughout Pennsylvania to support fast growing technologies and companies.
