HEINEKEN OPENS DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

Savannah, Feb 2008 – Heineken USA began operations February 5th at its newest distribution center, a 100,000-square-foot facility in Savannah. The center will serve as the port of call for more than 4,000 containers shipped from the company’s international breweries every year—that’s 7 million cases of Heineken beer bound for distributors in Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama.

Tom Fahey, Heineken USA regional vice president-Southeast Region, at the Heineken USA Demand Point, looks at where 7 million Heineken products will move annually.

According to Sommer, Heineken expects the Southeast to be its second-fastest growing U.S. region within the next five years.
