SeverCorr is a brand-new steel company with a 1.5 million ton facility just outside of Columbus, Mississippi. The steel mill was sited in Lowndes County, Mississippi, because of easy access to both rail and interstate truck routes for fast delivery to the southern United States and northern Mexico.

Just two years after breaking ground on vacant prairie land in Lowndes County, Mississippi, SeverCorr officials and their supporters reflected on the goal they have achieved: melting, casting and rolling high-quality steel in a state-of-the-art mill.
